The sun is shining, and little buds are budding here at Windswept Farm. This is the time of year when we start lining our ducks up in a row, literally!
As 2DA Market started as a summer business, our biggest order time is right now. We want to make sure we have plenty of merch for all of you for the warmer months ahead. We are patiently awaiting our new summer clothing line designed by us and made in India. You won’t be disappointed! We are so excited to share the launch with you in a week or so. You will be able to preorder, and we will ship your order as soon as they come in. Here is a sneak peek of one stunner...
Talking about ducks in order, some of you might know that four of our feathered friends found their way down to our big pond last summer- after 3 years of swimming around a green kiddie pool. They had found nirvana! Unfortunately, it was too good to be true and two of them met their demise. We won’t go into details. We do miss their cute waddling though and are thinking of getting more ducklings this spring, but need to keep them away from the big water. As our chickens and ducks are free-range, this might prove problematic though. Maybe we can hire Kevin to babysit.
Our cut flower garden was one of our most enjoyed additions to the farm last year. By no means do we have a green thumb, but this really worked for us! We took off 2 long strips of grass, added new soil, and sheets of landscaping cloth with holes cut into them, and planted both seeds and flowers from a nearby nursery. No weeding, and we had great results. Here is some inspo from a true pro. Swoon... Floret Farms
Talking about everything springy and inspirational, we are heading to France again soon. We have made many contacts there and we will be happy to be ordering more for 2DA Market. Last year we met Marie-Caroline from L’Antidote Bougies. She has since moved ateliers and we are so excited to visit her new spot. It’s beautiful! New scents coming to 2DA this summer...
