Reading
The Joy of Small Things by Hannah Jane Parkinson. Ok, so you might have guessed, we are obsessed with dachshunds. And we totally judged this book by the cover. What a lovely surprise that the contents make us even happier than the cute cover illustration. Each chapter is like a little hug. One chapter chats about pockets, one about the perfect bathrobe- leave this on your coffee table and pick it up whenever you need a little smile.
Eating
Last week, we found ourselves with 3 heads of cauliflower. So, we made soup (a lot of soup, you don't need 3 heads!) It was delicious, healthy (creamy with no cream) and super easy. A really perfect fall lunch.
Playing
Has 2DA Market got games for you!! We recently found a company from Germany with beautiful award-winning games. These make great family gifts for the holidays and they have been selling fast! Click this link for Backgammon, Woodman, and Dog Memory to name a few.
Obsessing
Red is the hot colour of the season. Hints of red are everywhere! Socks, shoes, handbags. So, I couldn't resist this Roo Knit red alpaca sweater. Talk about feeling like you are wearing a hug! Find Roo Knit (with way more than just red sweaters) at our Winter Barn Market this November!
Treating
If you are lucky enough to live near some trails, get out and enjoy them. We've been so blessed this fall with warm weather and beautiful foliage. The leaves are barely hanging on in the Creemore area but are still colourful underfoot. There is nothing better than a crisp fall walk before the snow flies. One of our favourites at this time of year is the Pretty River hike near Nottawa. Treat yourself to a yummy bowl of French onion soup when you're done at the super cool Nottawa General Store.
