Imagination, colour, creativity.
Hi, it's Laurie here! We get asked all the time if we make everything in our shop. Wow, what a compliment! That would take a very large factory to make everything we carry... I am a creative person, but I have never sewed or made pottery in my life. Well, pinch pots aside, but that's a story for another time.
Together, Tessa and I do design all of our clothing and we choose fabric designs that our Indian supplier makes by hand. We love it when we find a colour combo in architecture or a painting and then ask him to translate it into fabric.
Can you believe we've never been to India? We've been planning this trip for years, and we think it might still be a year or two away. We want to fully immerse ourselves in the culture and all that the country has to offer.
We Facetime with our supplier who operates out of his new factory in Jaipur about 3 times a week. He sits in front of piles of colourful cotton and we get very distracted as we want to see it all! He even calls us when he's at holiday celebrations, he's going to be the perfect person to introduce us to this culture that we can't wait to explore.

Our SS24 collection is almost here. We can't wait to share it with you. Here's a little sneak peek. Stay tuned for our launch date! New Sybil jackets, fresh floral fabrics and flowing coverups are also in the works.
Illustrations come to life
We are also in the process of creating embroidered linen hand towels, napkins and placemats with little illustrations that I've drawn. Very excited to receive these in the next month. Your cocktail parties have never looked so cute!
