2DA's Homemade Granola

This delicious granola recipe is on constant rotation at our house. It is a staple recipe that never gets old. It is easily doubled, which may come in handy ;) We always say easy, but this really is! And healthy too... what’s better than a big batch of homemade granola?

This recipe can be adapted to suit your likes. Add your favourite nuts, dried fruit, hemp or flax to make it yours!

Makes 1 sheet pan of granola

Prep time: 15 mins

Bake time: 22 mins

Cool time: 30 mins

Here is the basic recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups rolled oats

  • 1 1/2 cup nuts and seeds of your choice (We usually use pumpkin, sunflower and almonds)

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Directions:

  • Heat oven to 350 °F

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Mix everything together in a large bowl.

  • Press granola mixture evenly into a baking sheet.

  • Bake for 25-30 mins, or until golden, tossing halfway through.

  • Let cool completely without mixing for at least 30 mins. This will allow for the crunchy chunks in granola that we all love.

Enjoy xx 2DA
